GST exclusive is the price before tax — GST is added on top. This is common on B2B invoices quoted as "₹1,000 + GST". GST inclusive is the final price that already includes tax, like an MRP. Use Remove GST mode to extract the base amount.

Select Remove GST mode and enter the inclusive total. The formula is: Base = Total ÷ (1 + Rate/100). For example, ₹1,180 at 18% gives a base of ₹1,000 and GST of ₹180.

For intra-state sales (buyer and seller in the same state), GST splits equally into CGST (Central GST) and SGST (State GST). For inter-state sales, the full GST is charged as IGST (Integrated GST).
